Hello CBQ, As your new Board and Committee Chairs, we have already had our first board meeting. We began by spending time understanding the newly proposed budget for fiscal year 2025-26. It was approved to be communicated to all of you for your review. Please be sure to come to our general meeting on July 25th, as we will all be given the chance to ask questions and then approve/disapprove. We also discussed plans regarding Workshops and Speakers. Some exciting ideas are coming our way! The Community Service workshop was a huge success, with 26 members putting their pedals to the metal and producing forty-five (45) tote bags for Foster Children within the San Bernardino County Children Protective Service. Bravo!! Looking back at our June General Meeting, I would like to say a huge thank you to Hollie for all of the work that went into the installation of the new officers. It was so clever, enjoyable and well, just plain fun. Many thanks to Trudy Cleveland, our guest speaker, for her presentation entitled “Update Your Quilt Toolbox”. I really enjoyed her process of creating applique templates from just about anything you find on the Web. Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank our past board members and committee chairs for their incredible service to the Guild over the last year or two (or even longer). I know that each of you has poured countless hours and care into your roles. We can all be very proud of our organization because of your amazing dedication. Thank you all! Enjoy your July and I will see you at our next meeting on the 25th.
A Note of Thanks
Pieced Pink Heart Block
I would like to thank the guild, Roselyn, and Tessa for the beautiful quilt that was presented to me at the June General Meeting. I love the bright beautiful fabrics and the modern design! I will display it proudly in my home. Thank you again so very much!
